I see you haven’t been watching used auto prices in the last few months?

I know what I'd be willing to pay, but a sucker is born every minute.

Supply and demand right now. I was looking for an old Ranger before Covid, could get a decent one for $1,800. Right now those trucks are in the $3,000 range and selling.
This is especially true with lower cost “cool” vehicle like a manual hatch, Miata, dirt bikes, etc.
But also mainstream late model vehicles have risen in price due to a lack in stock. However, without government enhanced unemployment, that may change soon.

Every old beater on FaceSpace Craigsplace immediately went up in value by $3,000 once those stimulus checks hit the banks.

I would want at least 1k off the price for a fleet Fusion. That's about what my brother paid for his in similar condition but I wasn't a former rental and I can't exactly recommend the car.
